The Outstanding Youth Awards are coming! OYA!

The OYAs awards banquet is a very special way to celebrate and promote the success that children in care find despite the adversity they may face.

The 2022 OYAs call for nominations is now open as we plan to host the OYAs on December 14^th in Halifax!

This year, the OYAs will be produced in partnership with LOVE Nova Scotia.  Nomination packages are submitted by Children in Care Social Workers, and this requires a letter of support letter from an individual or group outside the nominating agency, other than the youth’s social worker (i.e. foster parent, teacher, employer, community leader, coach, mentor, etc.). Youth are able to receive and OYA one time only and only those registered guests are permitted to attend.

If you know of a youth who should be celebrated this year, please contact their child in care social worker– the nomination deadline is November 22^nd.  The OYAs is truly a heartwarming event, and we hope to see you there!
